Disney Family Day 2.2 : Lion King

Yesterday was our Lion King party, and the girls were enthralled with the movie.  Or, you know, the parts we didn't have to fast-forward through.  They do NOT like "the dogs" very much :)

First thing on the agenda was finger painting!  We don't do a lot of finger painting around here, for good reason.  In fact, this was the third time we've tried and the third time they were less than thrilled with it.  Hartley pretty much hates it --

while Emmersyn doesn't mind the dirty fingers, but gets bored very quickly. So after a little help, we set the plates aside to dry for the second half of the craft (later) and started the movie.

Just before dinner, we went on a Safari for animal table decorations - which the girls thought was awesome.  Boy, are they easy to please! :)

Dinner was very simple but yummy - fried chicken (food chain and stuff, you know), green beans, Rafiki's (un)squash bananas, and grub - both ants on a log (a much more delicious treat than the one you're thinking of) and gummy worms.

Finally it was time to finish the movie and finish our craft - adorable lion masks (complete with roaring sound effects)!
